Sunny Afternoons

A great fall day for a hike. Cool, no bugs, fall colors. A (and ML ) had to be at the PNB for the Nutcracker audition, so C and I headed up to Rampart Ridge. Here we are at the water slide. Refreshing. This photo appears to confirm that C is indeed an angel. Here C is looking down at Rachel Lake, on our way up to the Rampart Lakes. Here C is at Rampart Ridge with Alta in the distance. C finds his first frog. With thanks to Uncle T - note the eye protection. Hi Mom! Hi Box! (That's the name of the peak in the distance.) About 9 miles and 2400' gain - or 4 Space Needles.   When we got home, A brought us up to speed on her audition, and C treated us to pizza to celebrate his hat trick.
